Gas is introduced as part of the Heeter family, a sibling-run organization that deals in bounties and assassinations. Elec, the leader of the Heeters, uses the Cerealian Dragon Balls to wish for his younger brother Gas to become the new strongest lifeform in the universe. This wish is made after Granolah had previously used the same Dragon Balls to become the strongest lifeform at the cost of drastically reducing his lifespan. Gas then engages in battle with Goku and Vegeta. During the fight, an audio recording from Bardock's Scouter reveals that Bardock had previously defeated Gas. Gas continues fighting Goku and Vegeta, having aged rapidly due to the battle. However, Freeza appears and quickly kills Gas and Elec, before unveiling a new form he calls Black Freeza and departing.

Gas is the younger brother of Elec, the leader of the Heeters. After Granolah uses the Cerealian Dragon Balls to become the strongest lifeform in the universe, Elec uses the same Dragon Balls to make Gas the new strongest lifeform. Gas fights Goku and Vegeta, who have been manipulated by the Heeters into fighting Granolah. During the battle, Monaito gives Goku and Vegeta Bardock's Scouter, which reveals an audio recording of Bardock defeating Gas. Gas, having aged rapidly from the battle, continues fighting. Freeza then appears and quickly kills Gas and Elec, before unveiling Black Freeza and departing.
